Jungfraujoch Research Station
The Oeschger Centre for Climate Change Research and the International Foundation of High Altitude Research Station organizes a post-conference scientific excursion to the Jungfraujoch Research Station for the RIMMA 2025 conference participants. The visit of the research station in Grindelwald, in the Bernese Alps, Switzerland will include a guided tour through the research station at 3’572 meters asl and a presentation of the topical research projects.
Excursion programme:
- 7:34 AM Departure from Bern main station
- 10:30 -12:30 AM Guided tour at the research station and exhibition
- 12:30 AM - 2:00 PM Lunch / Free time
- 2:00 - 3:30 PM Guided tour at the Sphinx observatory
- 3:47 PM departure Jungfraujoch
- 6:24 PM Arrival at Bern
The registration for this post-conference event is optional. The maximum number of participants is 60. The registration costs include the travel from Bern to the Jungfraujoch research station and back (train and cable car), the guided tour, and the lunch.
Federal Office of Topography swisstopo
A second special guided tour will be offered, dedicated to the conference audience and conference topics. We will visit the Federal Office of Topography swisstopo in Wabern, near Bern.
