Due to the generous support from PAGES, we are able to assist early career researchers with travel expenses, providing financial aid of up to US $ 1’000. To assess eligibility for these grants we will use the ECR criteria set out by PAGES: “PAGES usually defines an early-career researcher (ECR) as an undergraduate or postgraduate (Masters/PhD) student, or a scientist, within five years of completing their PhD. However, these guidelines are flexible and take into account reasons for absences.”
Participation in presenting either a paper or a poster is encouraged but not mandatory. To apply please send an application confirming your ECR status, detailing anticipated travel costs and a short statement on the relevance of the conference to your research to climpast2024.iaw@unibe.ch. Applications will be evaluated by the Organizing Committee.
