Venue and Location

The conference will be hosted at the University of Bern. The main venue will be the UniS building, near Bern University main building, Room 003, conveniently located near the main train station. Building plans specifying the most important rooms and facilities are available to you as PDFs for the buildings marked in red (only in German).

Traveling to Bern

Due to the geographic position in Central Europe and a worldwide famous public transport system, travelling to Bern can be done ecologically friendly by train for a large number of participants.

By train

For those coming from far away, direct flight connections to Zurich and Geneva airport are available from nearly all over the world. In addition, EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse offers low cost flights (EasyJet, Ryanair) from numerous European destinations. Bern can be reached by train directly from Zurich and Geneva airport, and via local bus and train from EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse.

Moving around, public transport in Bern

Bern is a small but beautiful city (UNESCO World Heritage Site).

The conference venue (University) is 5 minutes walking distance from the railway station and within walking distance from most of the hotels.
Typically, day passes for the city bus are included in the hotel arrangements.
